Do I need to be Jewish to join?

We warmly welcome interfaith families and people exploring Jewish life. Contact us to discuss your circumstances and how you would like to participate.

Are High Holy Day services included?

Yes. High Holy Day services are included for members in good standing.

What if I cannot afford the full dues amount?

Confidential arrangements are available. Contact a board member or email bethzion@hotmail.com to discuss an adjustment or payment schedule.

Is Beth Zion affiliated with a movement?

Beth Zion is an independent, unaffiliated and egalitarian congregation serving Durham Region.

Can I participate in services?

Yes. People of every gender have equal opportunities to participate in ritual life, receive honours and take on leadership roles.

Do you offer B’nai Mitzvah preparation?

Yes. Members can receive support and guidance for B’nai Mitzvah and other life-cycle celebrations.

How do I renew my membership?

Use the membership request form above, select “Membership renewal,” and complete your payment by e-transfer or cheque.
